I entered a new chapter this month.
And it did not have anything to do with my blog. Well it actually did but more on that later.
This month I took a step back from my blog and focused on creating a Virtual Assistant Business! Check out my business here!
Don’t worry I will still go into everything that happened with my blog this month and how my new business fits right in.

Before I go into my stats for my 10th month I want to disclose why I am writing this post. Blog income reports are what got me here today. They have inspired me and keep my motivation going so I want to do the same for you! It also holds me accountable and allows me to track my progress.
So I hope you find this report helpful.
If you are wondering the steps I took to start my blog you can check that out here.
This post contains affiliate links which means if you purchase a product through my link I will receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. For more information you can read my disclosure here.
Month number 11 blog results
Goals
Eleventh month goals:
- 5,000 page views
- Publish 4 posts
- Update 2 old posts for SEO
I based these goals off my tenth month results which you can read here.
So how did I do?
Goal | Actual | Met (Y/N)? |
5,000 Monthly Page Views | 3,291 (3,018) | N |
Publish 4 posts | – | N |
Update 2 old posts for SEO | – | N |
Alright so I was being a little ambitious on getting four posts out when also starting up my VA business.
Here is what my 11th month blogging looked like:

I did however increase my pageviews and published a post that had been put aside since I started my blog!
Where am I getting my Traffic from?
95.1% of my traffic came from social media with Pinterest accounting for 98.18%.

My Organic Search traffic (aka Google) is slowly but surely going up. All I can ask for at this point!
Why I focus on Google Traffic:
Google traffic is by far more valuable than Pinterest traffic for 2 reasons:
- It is passive (meaning no constant work to drive traffic. Just post and your’e done)
- It converts better (meaning more money)
Additionally, it can take up to 6-12 months for Google to start ranking your posts, however, they will not have a chance if they are not optimized for SEO. I do not think I would be getting ANY traffic from Google if it weren’t for Debbie Gartner’s amazing Ebooks (which are very affordable by the way).
You can check out her ebooks below:
Additionally, you can buy both books here for a discounted price which is what I did.
Now I feel confident when I publish my posts and know they will have a good chance of ranking in google 4-6 months down the road.
Now lets talk about Pinterest
My Pinterest account has been hanging pretty steady.
I am still only posting 2-3 pins for each post and this month. This month was clearly a lot less since I only got one post out.
How did I make money this month?
Amazon – $7.46
Enough for a coffee this month!
Honestly I am just grateful that I continue to make sales each month even though it won’t exactly pay my bills.
I know that if I increase my traffic I will also increase my affiliate sales.
I do plan on taking an affiliate marketing course down the road.
Here are some other affiliates that I am a part of:
If you are interested in joining Rewardstyle send me an email here (Include first and last name & website url) and I will send you a referral email. If you get accepted we each would get $25!

Last but not least…
What does my Virtual Assistant Business mean for my blog?
I LOVE blogging, however, it really is a long game especially if you are doing it all on your own like I am.
So while I am “waiting” for my blog to generate a full time income I will build up my business so that I can not only support my family but also my blog!
In addition, my target clients are bloggers themselves so I will get to learn about building a profitable blog all while gaining new skills.
I am beyond excited to start my journey as a Virtual Assistant. It not only allows me the utmost flexibility but also allows me to exponentially grow a business!
Fortunately I came across an AMAZING program that helped me set up my business in less than 2 weeks! The program took all of the guess work out of building a business and truly set me up for success.
If you are interested in becoming a Virtual Assistant I highly recommend checking out this program.
If you are not quite ready to jump in and want to know more you can check out the FREE Workshop here.
Well I am officially nearing my 1st year of blogging. I NEVER imagined I would be where I am today. I have learned so much and know I still have a TON to learn.
I am so glad I started my blog. It truly has opened up a world of opportunites.

I’m in a similar place as you are in terms of page views, sessions, income, etc. Not my full-time gig so I don’t post super frequently. Reading this was great motivation to keep going! Glad there’s someone else like me! Keep going!
Hi Christina, I’m so glad my post helped motivate you! It’s always hard to relate to bloggers that are in a completely different spot so it is nice to know you are at a similar stage. Good luck to you and your blog!
